A live podcast with episodes scattered across platforms, given one home where listeners can start anywhere in the archive.

Project overview

The Pancakes Podcast records live. It needed a place where sessions stream, then stay, so listeners in other time zones can catch up and subscribe wherever they already listen.

The challenge

Episodes sat across several streaming platforms with no single browsable archive, so a new listener had no entry point.

Live sessions were only announced on social. Anyone landing between broadcasts saw no sign the show was active.

What we changed

Built the homepage around the player: latest episode plays in place, archive listed beneath it and filterable by season and guest.
Added a live status strip under the header that counts down to the next session and becomes a join link on air.
Gave every episode its own page with show notes, timestamps and guest bio.

Conversion focus

Subscribe row covering Apple, Spotify, YouTube and RSS placed where listening intent is highest.
Newsletter capture placed after the episode list instead of interrupting playback.
Per-episode pages give the show searchable entry points rather than one feed.
