Independent concept study/Hospitality/Redesign Concept

Independent Boutique Hotel

Small hotels lose direct bookings to the aggregators. This concept puts availability and rates on the first screen.

Project overview

A concept study for an independent hotel. The pattern is a beautiful homepage where the booking widget is below three scrolls of copy, so guests check availability on a booking platform instead — and the hotel pays commission on its own guest.

The challenge

Availability is the first question every guest has and it is usually the last thing the page answers.

Room types are described without rates, so guests leave to price-check.

The reason to stay here rather than anywhere else is buried in an About page.

What we changed

  • Check-in, check-out, guests and Check Availability placed directly under the hero.
  • Room cards carry a from-rate so guests can compare without leaving.
  • A short, specific paragraph on the location instead of general hospitality copy.

Conversion focus

  • Direct booking positioned ahead of the aggregators, which protects margin on every stay.
  • Rates shown early reduce the price-check trip that usually ends elsewhere.

Why this structure

A guest is either checking dates or reading about the place. The page should serve the first without hiding the second.

Website structure

  1. 01Home — availability first
  2. 02Rooms & rates
  3. 03Dining
  4. 04Local area
  5. 05Journal
  6. 06Contact
